Narrow Gate JC (“we,” “us,” “our”) runs https://narrowgatejc.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Site is operated by David Sandy (Narrow Gate JC). Questions: david@davidsandyofficial.com.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
– Newsletter signup: your first name and email address when you join our list (e.g. the free 7-Day Devotional). We also record the date of signup and whether it reached our email provider.
– Messages: if you email us (or use a contact form, if we add one), we receive your name, email address and whatever you write, including prayer requests.
Information collected automatically
– Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-B1C7X7KF7L) collects data such as pages viewed, time on page, referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location (from IP address; GA4 does not store full IP addresses).
– Advertising: Google AdSense and its partners may collect device identifiers, cookie IDs and browsing activity in order to show and measure ads.
– Server logs: our host and CDN may log IP addresses, user agent, and requests to keep the Site secure.

Analytics and ad scripts load only after you start interacting with the page (or after a few seconds). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may work differently if you do.
3. Google AdSense and personalized advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits here and elsewhere on the Internet.
– You can opt out of personalized ads at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
– How Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
– Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland will see a consent message (Google-certified CMP) asking for consent before personalized ads or analytics cookies are used.
4. Google Analytics
We use GA4 to understand which studies are helpful and to improve the Site. You can install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. We do not use GA4 to identify you personally.
5. Email newsletter (Brevo)
Our email list is managed by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France). When you subscribe, your name and email are sent to Brevo and stored on its servers so we can send devotionals and Site updates. Brevo may record opens and clicks. See Brevo’s privacy policy.
– Unsubscribe any time with the link at the bottom of every email, or by writing to david@davidsandyofficial.com.
– We never sell or rent our list.
6. Amazon Associates and affiliate links
Narrow Gate JC is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Some links (tagged davidsandy03-20) are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Amazon may set cookies when you click these links. See Amazon’s privacy notice.
7. How we use information
To send the newsletter you asked for; to reply to messages and pray for requests you share; to understand and improve the Site; to show ads that support the ministry; and to keep the Site secure. Legal bases (GDPR): consent (newsletter, non-essential cookies), legitimate interests (security, basic analytics where permitted), and legal obligations.
8. Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us run the Site (hosting/CDN WPX Hosting, Google, Brevo, Amazon as described above), when required by law, or to protect our rights. We do not sell personal information for money. Under California law, some ad cookies may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out as described in section 10.
9. Retention
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe (then removed or suppressed so we don’t email you again). Emails are kept as long as needed to respond. GA4 data is retained for 14 months.
10. Your rights
EEA/UK (GDPR): access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA) and other U.S. states: know what personal information we collect, request deletion or correction, opt out of “sale”/”sharing” for targeted advertising (use the opt-out links in section 3 or email us), and not be discriminated against for using these rights. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where technically possible.
To make a request, email david@davidsandyofficial.com. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within the timeframe required by law (generally 30–45 days).
11. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
12. Security and international transfers
We use HTTPS and reasonable safeguards, but no method is 100% secure. Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries under appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).
13. Changes
We may update this policy and will change the effective date above when we do.
